Coles Marketing Strategies and Customer Service

        Are you a Lindor Fan!!!!!

            Let's see how coles market the latest Lindor Mix

Coles has been introduced one of the latest Lindor chocolate mix, "Lindor Cornet Bliss Mix" to their customers. Coles uses different strategies to make awareness of this product among the customers and to make them try this product since it is a new mix but another existing and popular brand in the Australian market. Let me tell you my own experience. My eye got caught of this new lindor mix last week while I was shopping for my day-to-day needs. The reason is coles displayed this new product at the front of the chocolate section with a special price tag, "1/2 Price". Even though I didn't go to the chocolate section it could catch up my eye easily with this special price and where it was located. Also, coles listed this new item on their website and Flybuys app under Specials and Half Price, included in their leaflets and magazines, advertised on social media and send emails to their customers to make them aware of this new product. Another strategy used by coles to make the customers try this product is by giving them a larger discount and giving bonus points if the customer buys the product;
"Collect 500 points by buying 2 Lindor Cornet Bliss Mix Chocolates before 6/10/2022". To give more information about the new item to thier customers, coles used their website by giving a full product description which includes details about the manufacturer, ingrediants, nutrition facts, etc. So the customers can get further information about the product before they buy it as some may have allergies to certian ingrediants. Coles uses this method for their customers safety as well as their own.

 Another marketing strategy used by Coles is introducing "Flybuys Loyality Card" to their customers to get more added benefits. To retain their loyal customers they give points for each dollar spent by the customers and the customers can redeem these points as flybuys dollars instead of money. Also, coles gives more offers over their Flybuys app to make their loyal customers to shop more and more. For example, Collect up to 10,000 bonus points (values $50) by spending $50 in one transaction, each week for 4 weeks. Through these promotions coles tries to make their customers more curious to do large shopping to get this discount and that will increase their sales extensively. The reason coles mostly uses these low pricing strategies is because their main target is the customers with low income levels and they segment the customers based on the demography, geography, behaviour and income and give priority to their needs to increase their customer base. As a loyal coles customer I knows definetly that coles has identified me and continuously make me aware of their products and services and all these strategies used by coles to promote themselves is actually makes their customers satisfied and retained with coles.
